Areas you can contribute

Fellowship

Our fellowship committee works to tighten the bonds of our community, organizing monthly meetings, events, and our speaker series.

Advocacy

Our advocacy committee enhances the network of the CBC, creating connections and having conversations to forward the cause of BIPOC people in Calgary.

Scholarship

Our scholarship committee works alongside the Calgary Foundation in adjudicating and distributing our Scholarships.

Social Media

We’re older professionals who might not be the most proficient with Socials; improve your skills and help us share the message!

Mentorship

Our mentors help students become professionals, with soft skills training, goal setting and introductions to members of various professions.

Sub-Committees

From time to time we’ll set up special committees for volunteers to share their expertise. Signing up as a volunteer is the first step in joining our community.

Volunteering

As a Calgary Black Chambers volunteer, you’ll gain skills, experience, and friends to help you in your journey. While you’re getting all that, you’re helping create change in our community.

As a mentor, you go through our training and background check program. After a matching evaluation, you’re paired with a protege seeking to reach your level and beyond.
