CBC Monthly Speaker Series and Social – Jan 12th
January 12 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

To start the year, we have Alberta Ecotrust Foundation as our first speaker series at our monthly social gathering on January 12th at 6:00 pm at the Calgary Petroleum Club.
The framework of ESG (Environmental, social and governance) adds value and opportunity for growth. As the economy shifts towards sustainable business, greening your business model can provide a competitive edge and a loyal customer base.
We all want to make choices for a healthy environment, but with our non-stop, busy lives, it is impossible to know where to start. Whether you are a net-zero novice or an ESG expert, everyone needs help taking the next step towards a better future, especially when it comes to greening your business. In this talk, hear from three organizations supporting Calgary businesses to take climate action in their way and learn how your business can participate.
Stephanie Raynor is the Strategic Partnership Director with Alberta Ecotrust Foundation, a provincial charity focused on environmental and climate change issues. The base of Stephanie’s success lies in a strong sense of leadership, community, and development performance. In addition, Stephanie relies on strong business values and best practices to achieve triple bottom-line results. A dedicated volunteer, she has received many accolades, including the Top 40 under 40, AFP Corporate Award, Calgary White Hatter Award, Mayors CSR Award, and Women of Distinction of Canada Award. When not volunteering or working, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family and friends on adventures!
Donald Jantz is Partnerships Manager with Green EconomyCanada, a national non-profit accelerating Canada’s transition to a vibrant and inclusive net-zero future. Donald earned deep and broad experience serving on the boards of sustainability Not for Profits and managing projects for post secondaries and diverse private enterprises. Now, Donald leads an important program he feels is contributing to societal sustainability: The Electric Vehicle Charger investment program in support of Canada’s 2035 goal of 100% zero-emission vehicle sales. You can usually find Donald with his family, reading, or spending time outdoors when he is not working or volunteering.
The Environmental Careers Organization of Canada (ECOCanada) is a national body that champions the environmental sector and the end-to-end career of environmental professionals. They do this through job creation and wage funding programs, expert labour market research, and customised human resource solutions for businesses.
Join us on January 12th at 6:00 pm at Calgary Petroleum Club.
Come for the opportunities and stay for the socializing.
