primary postions

The primary mandates of the Calgary Black Chambers Advocacy Committee:

1. A strong voice for BIPOC people

Our four core values lead us to support anti-racism efforts by fighting systemic racism alongside our brethren and heightening awareness of Black voices throughout Calgary.

2. Black history in school curriculums

We are advocating for the inclusion of Black history in our school curriculums.

3. Ex-Officio Positions

We're seeking to establish seats on boards & committees to ensure Black voices are heard. Through ex-officio positions, while we might not have a vote, we are still able to expand the empowerment of Black people.
